A Year in Review-Part One

July:

We had a wonderful birthday cookout with sweet friends at the beginning of July at Emma Long Park. Later that week, we went swimming at Krause Springs & ate lunch downtown. Also, we sampled tons of coffee at lovely local spots. We did a lot of fun things in July. It was a great month full of many good things.

August:

August was a busy month. We spent so much time with dear friends trying new local restaurants. My brother visited & we got to show him around. This was a really tough month for us, especially for me. I had some medical issues; & in August, my doctor told me that I wouldn’t be able to drive for at least 6 months. It was rough, but I was so glad for all the support I had around me through my husband & friends.

September:

Get ready for A LOT of photos! We went on a trip back to Maryland. My husband and I hadn’t been back to Maryland together since our wedding, so we made sure to fill it with lots of friends, family, & fun. It was a GLORIOUS trip. I even did a family photo shoot while I was there! The month was a crazy one, with a lot of medical testing for me right before our trip. But it was totally worth it for us to get it done & out of the way. Even though I love Austin a lot, I sure do miss Maryland sometimes. It will always feel like my home, even if I never live there again. I love my parents’ house, with the back yard that feels to me slightly wild & like adventure is waiting, even now.

October:

October brought us back into the swing of our normal routines. Then before we knew it, Halloween came knocking.
